Planted by Joseph and Elfi Muutuki, New City Fellowship of Nairobi is a multi-cultural church that preaches the Gospel of grace and seeks to reconcile the native Kenyan and Asian Indian communities. After completing studies at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, and helping to start New City STL, Joe returned home to Nairobi and was convicted by the Spirit to address the division between the native Kenyan and Asian Indian communities.

This ministry has grown since then and they now have a congregation that includes native Kenyans, Asians, Europeans, Americans, Koreans, and Africans from many other nations. Not only has the ministry grown, but also the vision has expanded. They desire to see the gospel of God’s grace bring believers together across all racial, ethnic, cultural and economic barriers.

They also desire to see Gods’ heart of compassion expressed through them to the poor, fatherless, widows, displaced and oppressed. They thank God for bringing pastor Martin to NCF. He has been received well. After a long search of more than 15 years for an Indian pastor God had Martin in mind to lead the congregation as Joe takes on a support role.
